Introduction:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Entity List allows users to show the lists of records in Microsoft Portal. Recently, we had a business requirement to configure Delete record on the Entity List in Microsoft Portal. Configuring actions for Entity List is similar to configuring actions for Entity Form.<\/p>\n

Steps to configure Delete records from Entity List Grid:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

1<\/strong>. Go to the Portals > Entity List<\/em> <\/strong>and select the entity list in which you want to configure the Delete<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

2<\/strong>. Once you open the Entity list form, check the \u2018Enable Entity Permissions\u2019<\/strong><\/em> as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n

Note:<\/em><\/strong> If you have not checked the \u2018Enable Entity Permissions\u2019, <\/strong>the Delete button will not be visible.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

3<\/strong>. Then go to the Option<\/em><\/strong> tab > Grid Configuration<\/em><\/strong> section, and click on \u2018+Delete\u2019<\/strong><\/em> button to add the Delete button on the Entity List as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n

Once you click on Delete<\/em><\/strong> button, you will get the below screen. Just enter the Label for the Delete button and click on Save<\/em> as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n

4<\/strong>. Now go to the portal and click on the web link on which we are showing the Project List<\/em> as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n

As we checked the \u2018Enable Entity Permission\u2019<\/em><\/strong> in step 2, we get the above error message which notifies that the portal user does not have sufficient permission to view, update or delete the record.<\/p>\n

5<\/strong>. To resolve this issue, we need to create Entity Permission<\/em> in the Portal. Go to Portal > Entity Permissions<\/em><\/strong> and enter the name, select the Scope and Entity for which we are creating Entity Permissions. Also, select the Privileges to the user and Save the Entity Permission record.<\/p>\n

6<\/strong>. After saving the record scroll down to the Web Role <\/em><\/strong>section and add the Web Role<\/em><\/strong> to the Entity Permission as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n

7<\/strong>. After adding the Web role, open the Contact record which is used to log in to the Portal. On the Contact record scroll down to the Detail section<\/em><\/strong> and add the Web Role<\/em><\/strong> to the Contact as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n

8<\/strong>. Now, refresh the Portal, and you will see the Delete<\/em><\/strong> button on the Entity List form as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

While configuring Delete records from Entity List grid, ensure that you have checked \u2018Enable Entity Permission\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>and created Entity Permission<\/em> in the Portal.<\/p>\n
