However, sometimes we face issues even after correctly configuring the Portal, and it might take a lot of time to identify the issue and solve it. In this blog, we will explain some of the issues that we faced while configuring the Portal Web Pages, Entity Form and solve them!<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Suppose we want to show the Registration link for the contact. To do this, we have to configure the contact form.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The steps to configure Contact Form are as follows;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">1. First, we have to add the <strong><em>web link<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">2. Then on the <strong><em>web link form<\/em><\/strong>, we have to add the <strong><em>Web Page<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">3. Finally, we have to configure the <strong><em>Web Form<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Entity Form<\/em><\/strong> or <strong><em>Entity List<\/em><\/strong> based on our requirement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this example, we need to configure the <strong><em>Entity Form <\/em><\/strong>of the <strong><em>Contact Entity.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Issue #1:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">1. We configured the <strong><em>Entity form<\/em><\/strong> on the <strong><em>Web Page<\/em><\/strong> as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6039 aligncenter\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-11.jpg\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration Issues\" width=\"822\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. However, we did not see the <strong><em>Contact form<\/em><\/strong> on the portal as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6040 aligncenter\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-2.jpg\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration Issues\" width=\"820\" height=\"377\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">3. First, we need to check the <strong><em>Localized Content<\/em><\/strong> record that is shown in the previous screenshot. When we checked the <strong><em>Localized Content<\/em><\/strong> records, which is a copy of our <strong>Web Page<\/strong>, we found that there was no <strong><em>Entity Form<\/em><\/strong> configured.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6045 \" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues.jpg\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration Issues\" width=\"817\" height=\"498\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. To solve this issue, we need to ensure that the <strong><em>Web Page Configuration<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>Localized Content Web Page configuration<\/em><\/strong> should be same.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">5. Once we set the same <strong><em>Entity Form<\/em><\/strong> on <strong><em>Localized Content Web Page<\/em><\/strong>, we can see the <strong><em>Contact form<\/em><\/strong> on the Portal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6041 \" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-4.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration Issues\" width=\"823\" height=\"503\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">6. Once we solve this issue, we are ready to create the <strong><em>Contact<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Issue #2:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Another issue that we faced while configuring the <strong><em>Entity Form<\/em><\/strong> is as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-5.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6042 \" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-5.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration Issues\" width=\"822\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. To resolve this issue, first, we need to check whether our Entity form is correct.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">3. When we checked our <strong><em>Contact Entity<\/em><\/strong> form, we found that we had a Field added twice on the same tab as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-6.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6043 \" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-6.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration Issues\" width=\"824\" height=\"422\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. Once we removed one of the fields, our issue was resolved;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6044 \" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-7.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration Issues\" width=\"824\" height=\"503\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Issue #3:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recently we came across another abrupt scenario while configuring the portal. The <strong><em>\u201cInvitation Code\u201d<\/em><\/strong> which usually gets auto-generated whenever an <strong><em>\u201cInvitation\u201d<\/em><\/strong> gets created regarding a <strong><em>\u201cContact\u201d<\/em><\/strong> doesn\u2019t seem to be getting generated.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13703\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/1Microsoft-Portal-Configuration.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration\" width=\"1381\" height=\"687\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However further investigation led us to a synchronous workflow named <strong><em>\u201cUpdateInvitationCode\u201d<\/em><\/strong> which happens to be responsible for generating the <strong><em>\u201cInvitation Code\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This workflow was in the draft state and thus the <strong><em>\u201cInvitation Code\u201d<\/em><\/strong> was not getting generated.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13704\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2Microsoft-Portal-Configuration.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration\" width=\"1201\" height=\"693\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once this workflow was activated the <strong><em>\u201cInvitation Code\u201d<\/em><\/strong> did start getting auto-generated on creation of the <strong><em>\u201cInvitation\u201d<\/em><\/strong> record.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13705\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/3Microsoft-Portal-Configuration.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration\" width=\"1034\" height=\"571\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13707\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/4Microsoft-Portal-Configuration.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Portal Configuration\" width=\"1718\" height=\"855\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>While configuring portal one might face such several issues and to prevent\/solve them one must take the mentioned precautions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.inogic.com\/product\/integrations\/inolink-quickbooks-microsoft-dynamics-crm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6053 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Get-started-with-QuickBooks-and-Dynamics-365-Integration.png\" alt=\"Get started with QuickBooks and Dynamics 365 Integration\" width=\"820\" height=\"205\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Microsoft-Portal-Configuration-Issues-2.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction: Microsoft Portal is easy to configure.
