The Auto-Complete control allows users to select a value from the drop-down list rather than typing the whole text and save time while entering data in the Dynamics 365 Mobile and Tablet app. Today, let us discuss Star Rating control.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How can Star Rating control be helpful for users?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Star Rating control allow users to add star ratings on entity records in Dynamics 365 Mobile and Tablet app. This can be useful in situations where users need to rate a particular entity record on a scale of 1 to 5 represented by stars.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>Note: Star Rating control supports Whole number Data type field.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Let us see an example where we have added Star Rating control on the Account entity record:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this example, we will add the Star Rating control on the Account entity record to represent the Account Rating based on how frequently they use our products or services.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">First, create a new field \u2018Account Rating\u2019 with \u2018Data type\u2019 as \u2018Whole Number\u2019 as seen in the screenshot below;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4886\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Controls-in-Dynamics-365-for-Mobile-App1.jpg\" alt=\"Controls in Dynamics 365 for Mobile App\" width=\"625\" height=\"423\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">Here we have set \u2018Minimum Value\u2019 to 0 and \u2018Maximum Value\u2019 to 5 to rate to the Account between on a scale of 0 to 5.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\">2. Now, add this field on Account Form and click on the \u2018Field &#8216; Select the \u2018Controls\u2019 tab and click on \u2018Add Control.&#8217; Then choose the Star Rating control as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4887\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Controls-in-Dynamics-365-for-Mobile-App2.jpg\" alt=\"Controls in Dynamics CRM for Mobile App\" width=\"530\" height=\"655\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>NOTE: We can show maximum 5 Star rating.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Click on \u2018Save\u2019 and \u2018Publish\u2019 the customizations. Now, enter a value into the \u2018Account Rating\u2019 field and \u2018Save\u2019 the changes as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4888\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Controls-in-Dynamics-365-for-Mobile-App3.jpg\" alt=\"Star Rating Controls in Dynamics 365 for Mobile App\" width=\"626\" height=\"319\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">4. Once you save the record, log in to Dynamics 365 Mobile and Tablet app and open the Account entity record in which you entered the value for the Account Rating field. You will now see Account Rating represented with stars as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4889\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Controls-in-Dynamics-365-for-Mobile-App4.jpg\" alt=\"Star Rating Controls in Dynamics CRM for Mobile App\" width=\"338\" height=\"596\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Star Rating control is helpful in situations where a user needs to show stars to represent data on a scale of 0 to 5.
