\u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are 5 options in the Advanced settings, each one explained below<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Content Security Policy website from attacks like XSS and data injection.<\/li>\n<li>It defines which sources the application can use to load resources like images, scripts, and styles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example: -For <strong>Image source<\/strong>, you can define from where the Images will be accessed.<\/p>\n<p>As shown below \u2013<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41390\" the images will be accessed. What will be the source of images?<\/p>\n<p>A company can create a pool of images specifically for their site and use the URL of the pool here for better security. This prevents access from any unauthorised source which may breach on to security.<\/p>\n<p>Procedure is as follows: &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Content Security Policy<\/strong> tab of <strong>Advanced Settings,<\/strong> click on <strong>\u201cImage Source.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When we click on \u201cSelect an Option\u201d, we get a list of 3 options \u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>None<\/strong> \u2013 When this is selected, NO ANY RESOURSE for Images will be selected.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Specific<\/strong> <strong>URL<\/strong>(s) \u2013 Specify the particular URL that will be the source of Images. Always recommended.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All<\/strong> \u2013 Any resource will be used as a Resource of Images.<\/li>\n<li><strong>CSP<\/strong> includes options like default, image, script, font, style, connect, media, frame, form, and object sources, allowing you to set specific rules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS)<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) is a\u00a0web browser\u00a0security feature\u00a0that\u00a0determineswhat\u00a0resources on a web server\u00a0may\u00a0be requested\u00a0by\u00a0a different origin (domain, protocol, or port).<\/li>\n<li>With CORS, a server can\u00a0definewhich external domains are\u00a0permitted\u00a0to access its resources,\u00a0as\u00a0well\u00a0as\u00a0allowed\u00a0HTTP methods (GET, POST, etc.) and headers.<\/li>\n<li>This is\u00a0achievedvia\u00a0response headers\u00a0such\u00a0as\u00a0Access-Control-Allow-Origin, Access-Control-Allow-Methods, and Access-Control-Allow-Headers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41391\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/4Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages.png\" alt=\"Advanced Settings in Power Pages\" width=\"1440\" height=\"773\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/4Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages.png 1440w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/4Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-300x161.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/4Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-1024x550.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/4Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-768x412.png 768w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/4Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-660x354.png 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>CORS allows us security with the following options \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Allow accessing resources from the server<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determines which outside domains, protocols, or ports may request resources from the server.<\/li>\n<li>For example, an API can restrict access to specific domains like https:\/\/abcexapmleabc.com to prevent unauthorized use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Send headers during server requests<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Specifieswhich request headers (e.g., Authorization, Content-Type) may be sent along in cross-origin requests. This helps ensure only authorized headers are accepted, making it more secure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Expose header values in client-side code<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Someresponse headers (such\u00a0as\u00a0Content-Length, ETag) are\u00a0automatically\u00a0hidden in cross-origin requests.<\/li>\n<li>CORS enablesspecific headers to be exposed to client-side scripts when necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. Define methods to access resources<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determines which HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc.) are allowed in cross-origin requests.<\/li>\n<li>This prevents unauthorized or unsafe actions on the server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5. Allow the site to share credentials<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cross-origin requests don&#8217;t send credentials (cookies, auth tokens) by default.<\/li>\n<li>Servers can send credentials explicitly if needed for secure, authenticated requests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>6. Display webpage as an iframe from the same origin<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To prevent clickjacking attacks, a site can restrict itself from being loaded into an iframe unless the request originates from the same domain to keep content secure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>7.<\/strong> <strong>Block MIME sniffing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Browsers\u00a0occasionallymake an educated\u00a0guess\u00a0about\u00a0a file&#8217;s content type (MIME type), which can\u00a0result\u00a0in\u00a0security\u00a0vulnerabilities\u00a0(e.g.,\u00a0interpreting\u00a0an image as a script).<\/li>\n<li>Enabling nosniff\u00a0requiresbrowsers to\u00a0adhere\u00a0strictly\u00a0to\u00a0the declared MIME type,\u00a0avoiding\u00a0such risks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For example- <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Consider the following use case.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When a website (https:\/\/pqrtestpqr.com) tries to fetch data from another website\u2019s API (https:\/\/abctestabc.com), the request is considered a cross-origin request because the two websites have different origins (domains).<\/li>\n<li>By default, web browsers block such requests for security reasons unless the API server at https:\/\/abctestabc.com explicitly allows them.<\/li>\n<li>As\u00a0shownin the\u00a0picture\u00a0below,\u00a0API methods\u00a0such\u00a0as\u00a0GET, PUT, POST, PATCH, OPTIONS, and DELETE can be\u00a0authorized\u00a0according\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0CORS\u00a0policy\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/5Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages.png\" alt=\"Advanced Settings in Power Pages\" width=\"1440\" height=\"773\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/5Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages.png 1440w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/5Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-300x161.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/5Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-1024x550.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/5Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-768x412.png 768w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/5Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-660x354.png 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0way,\u00a0only\u00a0valid\u00a0requests\u00a0via\u00a0approved\u00a0methods can\u00a0communicate\u00a0with the server,\u00a0enhancing\u00a0security and\u00a0discouraging\u00a0malicious\u00a0use.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Cookie Configuration<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41393\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/6Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages.png\" alt=\"Advanced Settings in Power Pages\" width=\"1440\" height=\"773\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/6Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages.png 1440w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/6Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-300x161.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/6Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-1024x550.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/6Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-768x412.png 768w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/6Advanced-Settings-in-Power-Pages-660x354.png 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>This feature controls how cookies are sent along with requests for security against CSRF types of attacks.<\/li>\n<li>You can create rules that apply to all the cookies or specific cookies to control their behaviour.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For Example, we can use the <strong>Transfer Rule for all cookies option to <\/strong>control how cookies are sent with cross-origin requests.<\/p>\n<p>As shown in the image below, these settings are<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>None<\/strong> \u2013 only be sent over an HTTPS connection.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lax<\/strong> \u2013 More restrictive. Allows particular cookies to be sent over cross-origin requests.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strict<\/strong> \u2013 Most restrictive.
