Dynamics 365 Project Operations<\/strong> serves as a comprehensive platform tailored for efficient project planning, expense tracking, and time management. It facilitates resource booking and allocation while providing tools to identify and manage project estimates, streamlining processes, and enhancing overall work quality.<\/p>\n

In this blog, we will explore the ways Copilot<\/strong><\/a> in Project Operations<\/strong> has enhanced efficiency, empowering organizations to streamline project management, minimize risk, and make well-informed decisions.<\/p>\n

Prerequisites<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

To enable the Copilot<\/strong> feature in Project Operations<\/strong>, go to the Parameter<\/strong> record located in the Settings<\/strong> group. Click on the Feature Control<\/strong> button on the ribbon bar, as shown below.<\/p>\n

After enabling the Copilot<\/strong> feature, you will notice the Copilot<\/strong> button appearing on the ribbon bar of the Project<\/strong> entity, as shown below.<\/p>\n

With this feature, you can perform the following tasks more efficiently<\/u><\/em>,<\/p>\n

1. Task plan<\/strong> \u2013 Click the Task plan<\/strong> button, as indicated below, to automatically generate tasks and sub-tasks<\/p>\n

This will automatically create tasks and sub-tasks under the Project<\/strong> based on the Project Name<\/strong> so here we have to ensure that the Project name<\/strong> is in the context of the Project<\/strong> to let AI generate related tasks. Based on the Estimate Start Date<\/strong> AI creates new Project tasks including Duration<\/strong>, Start Date<\/strong>, and Finish Date<\/strong> as shown below,<\/p>\n

\"Copilot2. <\/strong>Risk Assessments <\/strong>\u2013 This functionality becomes accessible once the team logs time against the corresponding tasks, below is the screen clip for reference,<\/p>\n

\nBy clicking the Risk Assessments<\/strong> button, the system generates risks as illustrated below. This functionality aids the project manager in evaluating potential risks, finding solutions, and monitoring ongoing project issues.<\/p>\n

3. Status report <\/strong>\u2013 This feature offers two variations Internal<\/strong> and External<\/strong> reports as shown below,<\/p>\n

These reports produce a comprehensive project summary, facilitate task and financial analysis, monitor progress, and provide valuable insights into the project.<\/p>\n

Additionally, these reports are incorporated into the AI-Assisted Reports<\/strong> sub-grid located within the Project<\/strong> entity, as illustrated below,
