Microsoft recently launched a new user interface for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/services\/techno-functional-consulting\/microsoft-dynamics-365-crm-field-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile App<\/a>, which is more user-friendly and visually appealing. It provides an easy and efficient way to manage field service tasks from your mobile device.<\/p>\n<p>This feature requires some prerequisites to enable the new UI which are listed below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The latest version of the Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile app.<\/li>\n<li>The latest Field Service solution in Dynamics 365 CRM.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2023 Release Wave 2<\/strong> need to be enabled<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In this blog, we will walk through the steps to activate the new user interface (UI) for the Field Service Mobile application:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Navigate to your environment and choose the Model Driven App \u201c<strong>Field Service Mobile<\/strong>\u201d. Minimized Navigation Work Order Items from Booking Form:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In Field Service, Work Order is the main aspect which includes all details such as Work Order Products, Services, and Service Tasks. The Field Agent will then work on these items to mark the Products\/Services as Used and Complete the Service Tasks.<\/p>\n<p>The new UI Field Service Mobile app enables Field Agents to complete their process quickly and efficiently. Users can now make inline edits, and resolutions, and create new Products\/Services as needed. Media from Timeline<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>While working on a Work Order, the Technician used to take Photos at the customer&#8217;s location and the Field Service Mobile app stored them in the Notes. Now, with the enhanced capability, users can directly access these files from the &#8220;<strong>Reference<\/strong>&#8221; tab on the Work Order form.<\/p>\n<p>In the \u201c<strong>Media from timeline<\/strong>\u201d section, all these files are displayed for users to access as shown in the below screenshot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-36527 aligncenter\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/10Dynamics-365-Field-Service-Mobile-App.jpeg\" alt=\"Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile App\" width=\"469\" height=\"1048\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/10Dynamics-365-Field-Service-Mobile-App.jpeg 469w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/10Dynamics-365-Field-Service-Mobile-App-134x300.jpeg 134w, https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/10Dynamics-365-Field-Service-Mobile-App-458x1024.jpeg 458w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 469px) 100vw, 469px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Despite the advantages of the New Enhanced UI of the Field Service Mobile App, there are some limitations to consider which are listed below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Does not support mobile offline capability<\/li>\n<li>Only supported for Field Service Mobile OOB app and not for Custom apps.<\/li>\n<li>Copilot does not generate a summary for custom fields, currently, the summary generation is not customizable.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In this way, we can update the Dynamics 365 Field Service mobile app UI for a modernized appearance. The appearance and user experience are truly impressive.
