Resco Woodford has introduced a new feature in the latest release i.e., the Bulk Update<\/strong> option on view. This feature is available in the latest version on Woodford <\/strong>i.e., 15.1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Till now there was no functionality to update multiple records in a single click same as a web client. Now this \u201cBulk Update\u201d feature shall allow us to select multiple records on view and to perform bulk update operations from the mobile app as well.<\/p>\n

Let’s take a look at the configurations to edit multiple records from the view.<\/p>\n

Note: To use this feature make sure the Woodford and Resco Mobile CRM App both are upgraded to version 15.1 or later. Additionally \u201cField Service Mobile \u2013 Xamarin\u201d is no longer available, so using the Resco Mobile CRM App, will require an additional license from Resco.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first step is, we need to create the Bulk Update Form <\/strong>for the entity, which will be available when we perform a bulk update operation.<\/p>\n

So let’s create the form. Here we will create the Bulk Update form for the Contact<\/strong> entity.<\/p>\n

  1. Select the Contact Entity => Show UI => create the new form. \"Bulk<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. While creating a new form, select the \u201cTemplate<\/strong>\u201d as \u201cBulk Update form\u201d and click on the OK<\/strong> button. \"Bulk<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. As soon as we clicked on the OK<\/strong> button, it will open the form to add fields of the Contact entity. Now we can add the fields that we want to enable for the bulk update option. \"Bulk<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Once done with adding the fields on the form, Save and Close<\/strong> the form.<\/li>\n
    3. Now we need to add the \u201cBulk update\u201d command to the view. So, to add this command, select the view on which we want to show this \u201cBulk Update\u201d command.<\/li>\n
    4. Open the selected view<\/strong> and click on the \u201cMulti Select<\/strong>\u201d option.<\/li>\n
    5. In the Available Commands <\/strong>of the Multi Selection commands dialog, we can find the \u201cBulkUpdate\u201d command. \"Bulk<\/a><\/li>\n
    6. Move the \u201cBulkUpdate\u201d command to the Selected Command<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    7.     8. Save all the changes<\/strong> and publish<\/strong> the mobile project to reflect the changes on the mobile app.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Now, let’s check the working of this Bulk Update command on the Mobile app<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      1. Log in to the mobile app<\/li>\n
      2. Select the entity and the view in which we have added this bulk update command. In this example, we added the button to the \u201cContact\u201d entity\u2019s default view, so will be navigating to the same.<\/li>\n
      3. Select multiple records, once we have selected the records the \u201cEdit\u201d command will be visible at the top right<\/strong> corner of the view, \"Bulk<\/a><\/li>\n
      4. Once we have clicked on the \u201cEdit\u201d button, the bulk update form will open to fill in related data. Update the field(s) and save. \"Bulk<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Once clicked on the Save<\/strong> button, we will receive a dialog box as below stating that the Bulk Update operation has succeeded.<\/p>\n

        By using the \u201cBulk Update\u201d command we can easily edit multiple records in Resco Mobile App <\/strong>same as Web.<\/p>\n
