If the Outlook client was closed, it would wait until Outlook client is re-opened for the mail to be processed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">The other option was to setup the Email Router for Dynamics CRM and configure the router to send and receive emails from within Dynamics CRM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">With Dynamics CRM 2013, Microsoft has introduced Server-side sync features. As the term suggests the integration directly connects with the server rather than individual client to send\/receive mails from\/in CRM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">To use Server-Side Synchronization you should have configured IFD for your CRM and it should be using SQL Server 2012.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Server-Side sync currently does not supported hybrid environments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Dynamics CRM On-Premise <\/span>&lt;-&gt; <span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Microsoft Exchange On-Premise &amp; POP3\/SMTP supported mail servers<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Dynamics CRM Online &lt;-&gt; <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Microsoft Exchange Online through Office 365<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">A new area for Email Configuration is included in the ribbon to access all options for setting up the Email Integration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img10.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img10.png\" alt=\"img10\" width=\"546\" height=\"155\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">The First step is to set up the Email Configuration Settings<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img21.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-319\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img21.png\" alt=\"img2\" width=\"690\" height=\"211\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Set the Email Process method to Server-Side Synchronization. Also set the default to Server-Side sync for the new mailboxes that are created.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Next step is to create a Server Profile Record. The Server profile stores the email server connection details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">You can create 2 types of Server Profile <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Exchange \u2013 To connect with Exchange Server<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">POP-SMTP Profile \u2013 To connect to POP3 servers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">To connect with a hotmail.com account we would use the POP3 Server option<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Fill in the following details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img41.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-321 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img41-300x192.png\" alt=\"img4\" width=\"300\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">We have set the Credentials to be picked up from the individual user\/queue record.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">In the Advanced settings provide the hotmail\/live account server settings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img51.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-322 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img51-300x104.png\" alt=\"img5\" width=\"300\" height=\"104\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">You may receive an Encryption error while saving the Server Profile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img6.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-323 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img6-300x114.png\" alt=\"img6\" width=\"300\" height=\"114\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Enable Data Encryption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img7.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-324 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img7-300x109.png\" alt=\"img7\" width=\"300\" height=\"109\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">With this feature, a new concept of Mailbox has been introduced. Each new user that is created in CRM has a mailbox created for it automatically. The email integration method is defined in the mailbox record.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img11.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-318 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img11-300x70.png\" alt=\"img1\" width=\"300\" height=\"70\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Lets take a look at the mailbox record<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img8.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-325 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img8-300x192.png\" alt=\"img8\" width=\"300\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">You need to associate a Server profile along with a mailbox record that stores the email server connection details.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Enter the user credentials here since we had set the Credentials to be picked up from the Mailbox record.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">You need to Approve the Email by clicking this ribbon option on the mailbox record.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Once the mailbox settings are complete, you can click on the Test &amp; Enable Mailbox ribbon button to enable sync.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">You can see the results of the Test in the Alerts tab.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img9.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-317 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img9-300x156.png\" alt=\"img9\" width=\"300\" height=\"156\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Send a test mail from CRM and it will show up as successfully sent and an incoming email would show up in CRM automatically too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img111.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-327 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/img111-300x39.png\" alt=\"img11\" width=\"300\" height=\"39\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the Server-Side Sync you can now configure mails to be delivered without the need for configuring router and forward mailbox.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Dynamics CRM prior to CRM 2013 email integration provided the following options Email Router Microsoft Outlook Client.
