Introduction<\/strong><\/h2>\n

While working on the Product Catalog, I noticed that there are \u201cUpdated Prices<\/strong>\u201d button on the \u201cPrice List Item<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cRole Prices<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cCategory Prices<\/strong>\u201d table sub-grids present on the \u201cPrice List<\/strong>\u201d table record that gives provision to bulk update the pricing i.e., increase\/decrease prices by a certain percentage.<\/p>\n

Update Prices button on Price List Item grid view:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open Sales Hub<\/strong> app > Change area to App Settings<\/strong> > Under the Product Catalog, select Price List<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \n
    1. Open any price list record and click on the \u201cPrice List Items<\/strong>\u201d tab. You will see the \u201cUpdate Prices<\/strong>\u201d button on the grid view as shown below:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. After clicking on Update Prices<\/strong>, you will get the below pop-up window where you can bulk update prices for all Catalog Item prices by applying a % increase or decrease.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Note: Pricing will be increased\/decreased in percentage only.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

        Now, let\u2019s see how does it work.<\/p>\n

        Given below is the screenshot of the products added as the Price List Item in the price list with the respective pricing in the Amount<\/strong> column as you can see:<\/p>\n

        If you want to increase the pricing by percentage then;<\/strong><\/p>\n

        1. Click on the Update Prices<\/strong> button and enter the percentage value in the \u201cPrice change [%]\u201d<\/strong> field, let\u2019s say \u201c50<\/strong>\u201d and click on Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            \n
          1. Once you click on Apply<\/strong> and look for prices of all the products in the Amount<\/strong> column, you will see the pricing has been increased by a selected percentage i.e., 50.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            If you want to decrease the pricing by percentage then;<\/strong><\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Click on the Update Prices<\/strong> button and enter the negative percentage value in the \u201cPrice change [%]\u201d<\/strong> field, let\u2019s say \u201c- 50<\/strong>\u201d and click on Apply.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Note: To enter a negative percentage, you can enter anything from (50), -50, – (50), (-50).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

              1. Once you click on Apply<\/strong> and look for prices of all the products in the Amount<\/strong> column, you will see the pricing has been decreased by a selected percentage i.e., 50.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Some of the limitations that I observed while working on the same are as follows:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n
                  \n
                1. You cannot update Prices for a selected number of Price list items or select all records because the Update Prices<\/strong> button will no longer be visible when you select multiple price list items.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    \n
                  1. Pricing is only getting updated i.e. increased\/decreased on the Price list Items<\/strong> where \u201cPricing Method<\/strong>\u201d is selected as the \u201cCurrency Amount<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n
                  2. Observed that there is an \u201cUpdate Prices<\/strong>\u201d button on the \u201cPrice List Item<\/strong>\u201d sub-grid on the Product<\/strong> entity as well. But it seems that it is not functional i.e., nothing happens after clicking the button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Update Prices button on Role Prices & Category Prices grid view:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

                    Here also \u201cUpdate Prices<\/strong>\u201d button functions the same as mentioned above in the Price List Item <\/strong>grid view. It bulk updates the prices shown in the \u201cPrices<\/strong>\u201d column of both the tables i.e., Role Prices<\/strong> & Transaction Category Prices<\/strong> grid views.<\/p>\n

                    Note: Pricing is only getting updated i.e., increased\/decreased on the Transaction Category Prices where \u201cPrice Calculation\u201d is selected as the \u201cPrice Per Unit\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

                    Conclusion:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

                    In this way, you can easily update the prices of products in bulk.<\/p>\n
