The purpose of adding this entity is to provide the feedback and rating for particular entity in CRM. This is useful for the organizations for tracking the feedback for the product they are selling, or support\/services that they are providing to the customers. This Feedback and Rating in Dynamics CRM 2016 helps to improve the product\u2019s quality or customer experience with your organization.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let us see how we can use this entity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assign Privileges for Feedback Entity:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For using the Feedback entity, first you need to make sure that you have the Read, Create, Update privileges for this entity.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Feedback-And-Rating-in-Dynamics-CRM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2787\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Feedback-And-Rating-in-Dynamics-CRM.png\" alt=\"Feedback And Rating in Dynamics CRM\" width=\"626\" height=\"245\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As you can see in the above screenshot, we have given all the privileges for the Feedback entity at Business Unit level for the security role \u201cSalesperson\u201d and we have assigned this security role to the user \u201cTest User1\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Enable Entity for Feedback:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once the privileges have been assigned for the Feedback entity, the next step is to enable entity for Feedback. For this go to Settings &gt;&gt; Customizations &gt;&gt; Select entity for which you want to enable Feedback &gt;&gt; Under Communication &amp; Collaboration &gt;&gt; Check \u201cFeeedback\u201d checkbox.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Enable-Entity-for-Feedback.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2786\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Enable-Entity-for-Feedback.png\" alt=\"Enable Entity for Feedback\" width=\"626\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/feedback.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2789\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/feedback.png\" alt=\"feedback\" width=\"626\" height=\"252\" \/><\/a>As you can see in the above screenshot, we have enabled the Product entity for the Feedback by ticking the check box provided for the Feedback.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So now, the Feedback entity will appear in the associated view of the Product entity and you can create Feedback for the Product entity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Creating Feedback<\/strong><strong>:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/creating-feedback-in-crm.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2781\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/creating-feedback-in-crm.png\" alt=\"creating feedback in crm\" width=\"625\" height=\"244\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So now, we can add a Feedback for Product. Click on \u201cADD NEW FEEDBACK\u201d of the associated grid view.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ADD-NEW-FEEDBACK.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2780\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ADD-NEW-FEEDBACK.png\" alt=\"ADD NEW FEEDBACK\" width=\"626\" height=\"162\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once we click on the Feedback, a Feedback entity Form will be opened where you can specify the below information.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Feedback-entity-Form.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2788\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Feedback-entity-Form.png\" alt=\"Feedback entity Form\" width=\"625\" height=\"252\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Title<\/strong>: A short title for the Feedback, specifying parameter for response.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Regarding<\/strong>: The Feedback created for the entity. In our case, it is Product Exchange Online (Sample).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Source<\/strong>: Here you can select two options, Internal or Portal. For example, if you are capturing the Feedback from within the CRM i.e. through phone or email then you can select Source as Internal. In addition, you can add more options to this field as per your requirement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Comments<\/strong>: Comments for the Feedback being created.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Rating<\/strong>: A number to specify how useful the product is.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Minimum Rating and Maximum Rating<\/strong>: Define the minimum and maximum rating numbers for the rating scale. For example, in our case, we are using the rating scale as 1-10, then minimum rating as 1 and maximum rating as 10 can be provided.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Normalized Rating<\/strong>: The value for this field is auto calculated, as this is the calculated field. The calculation is done based on the below formula.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Normalized Rating = (Rating &#8211; Minimum Rating)\/ (Maximum Rating &#8211; Minimum Rating)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, you can change the calculation for the Normalized Rating by changing the formula for this field from Customizations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Created By (Contact):<\/strong> It is the customer contact on behalf of whom you are creating a feedback.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Closed By<\/strong>: This field gets automatically populated with the user who deactivates the Feedback record.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Closed On<\/strong>: This field gets auto populated with the date and time when the user deactivates the Feedback record.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Deactivating Feedback:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When you deactivate the Feedback, it will ask if you want to close this feedback as Closed or Rejected.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Deactivating-Feedback-in-dynamics-crm.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2783\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Deactivating-Feedback-in-dynamics-crm.png\" alt=\"Deactivating Feedback in dynamics crm\" width=\"625\" height=\"259\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/confirmed-deactivation.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2790\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/confirmed-deactivation.png\" alt=\"confirmed deactivation\" width=\"603\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>If you select the Status as Closed then the Status Reason of the Feedback changes to Closed and if you select the Status as Rejected then the Status Reason of the Feedback changes to Rejected.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Deactivating-Feedback.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2784\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Deactivating-Feedback.png\" alt=\"Deactivating Feedback\" width=\"626\" height=\"249\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As you can see in the above screenshot that once we have deactivated the Feedback, Closed By and Closed On populates automatically.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This blog explains about the newly added entity \u201cFeedback\u201d which is a useful entity where you can provide the rating and calculate the rating as per your requirement.
