{"id":20871,"date":"2019-10-23T12:32:24","date_gmt":"2019-10-23T12:32:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/?p=20871"},"modified":"2019-10-23T12:32:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-23T12:32:24","slug":"cascading-two-dropdowns-in-powerapps-based-on-dynamics-365-crm-optionset-field","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/2019\/10\/cascading-two-dropdowns-in-powerapps-based-on-dynamics-365-crm-optionset-field\/","title":{"rendered":"Cascading Two dropdowns in PowerApps based on Dynamics 365 CRM optionset field"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Introduction<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In today\u2019s blog we will explore how to do cascading of two dropdowns in PowerApps based on Dynamics 365 CRM optionset field.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve this, first we need to create two optionset fields in Dynamics 365 CRM e.g. Mobile Company (Parent optionset) and Mobile Handset (Child optionset) in the Dynamics 365 CRM Account Entity.<\/p>\n<p>Now, as given below, create the collection in PowerApps on load of the Account edit form code.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">ClearCollect(productinfo,\r\n{Company:\"Nokia\",Product:\"Nokia 6.1\"},\r\n{Company:\"Nokia\",Product:\"Nokia 7.1\"},\r\n{Company:\"Nokia\",Product:\"Nokia 8.1\"},\r\n{Company:\"Apple\",Product:\"Iphone 7\"},\r\n{Company:\"Apple\",Product:\"Iphone X\"},{Company:\"Apple\",Product:\"Iphone XS\"});\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>Now on \u2018Edit form\u2019 I have shown both dropdowns. On company dropdown properties click on the dropdown, go to Advanced-&gt; Data -&gt;Items.
