In this article, we will cover <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/2016\/06\/geocoding-millions-of-dynamics-crm-records-using-maplytics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">geocoding Dynamics CRM data with Bing Maps<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Geocoding refers to getting the latitude and longitude i.e the geographic coordinates of your address. Geo-coordinates help in plotting the addresses accurately on the map.<\/p>\n<p>Maplytics\u00a0offers a seamless integration between <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inogic.com\/product\/integrations\/maplytics-bing-map-microsoft-dynamics-crm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bing Maps and MS Dynamics CRM<\/a>. It ships with Geocoding workflow to geocode addresses for plotting the MS Dynamics CRM data on a map. We ship this workflow configured for Account, Lead and Contact entities. The workflows are configured to execute automatically on creation of records as well as any time any of the address fields are modified.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2087 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode.png\" alt=\"Geo Map tool Dynamics CRM\" width=\"630\" height=\"181\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By referring the sample workflows that are shipped along with the product you can design the Geocoding workflow for other entities including custom and OOB entities.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note: To run workflows please make sure the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Asynchronous Processing service is running as shown in below screenshot.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2088 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode1.png\" alt=\"MS Dynamics CRM Geo Map tool\" width=\"630\" height=\"294\" \/><\/a><\/em><strong>Steps to Configure Geo-coding workflows for custom entities and other OOB entities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Design a new Workflow Process<\/li>\n<li>Choose the desired Entity<\/li>\n<li>Set the Scope as organization<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>In Start when:<\/strong> Choose Record is created and Record fields change options.<\/p>\n<p>For the Record, fields change the option to make sure to select all of the address fields to ensure the address is geocoded when any of the address fields is changed.<\/p>\n<p>Select the Inogic.Maplytics.Geocoding workflow assembly from the Add step menu.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2089 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode2.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Dynamics CRM Geo Map tool\" width=\"629\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Set the address parameter as shown in the below screenshot for the workflow assembly.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2090 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode3.png\" alt=\"Geocoding Dynamics CRM Data Bing Maps\" width=\"615\" height=\"398\" \/><\/a>In the next step choose Update Entity.<\/p>\n<p>Select the same entity as the one for which the workflow is being configured.<\/p>\n<p>In Update window set the Latitude and Longitude of the output parameters returned by the workflow assembly as shown in the below screenshot.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2091 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/geocode4.png\" alt=\"Dynamics CRM Geocoding Maps\" width=\"628\" height=\"39\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: This process has the limitation of geocoding only 250 records of Dynamics CRM at a time.
