{"id":12822,"date":"2018-09-05T18:54:21","date_gmt":"2018-09-05T13:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/?p=12822"},"modified":"2018-09-05T18:54:21","modified_gmt":"2018-09-05T13:24:21","slug":"configure-schedule-board-to-include-multiple-entities-booking-requirements-using-universal-resource-scheduling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/2018\/09\/configure-schedule-board-to-include-multiple-entities-booking-requirements-using-universal-resource-scheduling\/","title":{"rendered":"Configure Schedule Board to include Multiple Entities Booking Requirements using Universal Resource Scheduling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Introduction:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Universal Resource Scheduling feature in Dynamics 365 Version 9.0 can be used to enable scheduling of any entity including custom entities on the Schedule Board.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Along with the Scheduling, we will also see how we can add the fields on the booking slot of the Schedule Board and also how to add different booking requirement tabs for different entities on the Schedule Board.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before using Universal Resource Scheduling, we need to make sure that we have either Dynamics 365 for Field Service or Dynamics 365 for Project Service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To enable the Entities for Scheduling, Navigate to Sitemap&gt;&gt; Resource Scheduling&gt;&gt;Administration<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-12824\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/1Scheduling-of-Multiple-Entities-on-Schedule-Board-using-Universal-Resource-Scheduling.png\" alt=\"Scheduling of Multiple Entities on Schedule Board using Universal Resource Scheduling\" width=\"972\" height=\"331\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In Administration, Select Enable Resource Scheduling for Entities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-12825\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/2Scheduling-of-Multiple-Entities-on-Schedule-Board-using-Universal-Resource-Scheduling.png\" alt=\"Scheduling of Multiple Entities on Schedule Board using Universal Resource Scheduling\" width=\"966\" height=\"289\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A Setup wizard will be displayed, in that perform the following:<\/p>\n<p>1. Add Entity \u2013 Select the entity that you want to enable for scheduling. Here, we will select Opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>2. Booking Relationship \u2013 Select Create New Relationship<\/p>\n<p>3. Requirement Relationship \u2013 Select Create New Relationship<\/p>\n<p>4. Click on Publish Customizations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-12826\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/3Scheduling-of-Multiple-Entities-on-Schedule-Board-using-Universal-Resource-Scheduling.png\" alt=\"Scheduling of Multiple Entities on Schedule Board using Universal Resource Scheduling\" width=\"969\" height=\"309\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Once it is published, you can see that the Opportunity entity gets displayed in the list of Enabled Entities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-12827\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/4Scheduling-of-Multiple-Entities-on-Schedule-Board-using-Universal-Resource-Scheduling.png\" alt=\"Scheduling of Multiple Entities on Schedule Board using Universal Resource Scheduling\" width=\"969\" height=\"340\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Double Click on the Opportunity Entity from the Enabled Entities table, Booking Setup MetaData form will get displayed.<\/p>\n<p>Here, we can change the settings as per our requirement, so here we have made changes in the settings as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1. Enter Booking Status Field Logical Name as \u201c<strong>msdyn_fieldservicestatus<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>2. Select Default Booking Duration to 30 Minutes.<\/p>\n<p>3. Select Default Booking Committed status to \u201c<strong>Scheduled<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>4. Select Default Booking Canceled Status to \u201c<strong>Canceled<\/strong>\u201d and click\u00a0Save on the lower right corner.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-12828\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/5Scheduling-of-Multiple-Entities-on-Schedule-Board-using-Universal-Resource-Scheduling.png\" alt=\"Scheduling of Multiple Entities on Schedule Board using Universal Resource Scheduling\" width=\"974\" height=\"453\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Now, Navigate to Site Map&gt;&gt; Opportunity&gt;&gt;Open an Opportunity record. In order to display the bookings as per entities, we can create different tabs for different entities.
