In our last posts, we have covered\u00a0how we can\u00a0Create a record in Dynamics 365 using\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/microsoft-flow-create-record-in-dynamics-365\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gmail Connector<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Create Dynamics 365 Records from an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/2018\/07\/create-dynamics-365-records-from-an-excel-using-microsoft-flow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Excel\u00a0on Google Drive<\/a>\u00a0using Microsoft Flow.\u00a0In the below article we are going to explore how user can sync Dynamics 365 tasks with Google tasks to keep a track of their daily tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s have a quick walkthrough:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0 Setup trigger point: <\/strong>For the flow to trigger we need to add a trigger point, in our case it is the creation of <strong>\u201ctask\u201d<\/strong> as shown in the screenshots below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12627\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks1.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"978\" height=\"364\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12628\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks2.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"976\" height=\"505\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the Organization name in which the task exists and Entity Name as Tasks in our case<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12629\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks3.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"973\" height=\"279\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now click on the <strong>\u201c+ New Step\u201d<\/strong> button and then select <strong>\u201cAdd an action\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks4.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"964\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Search for google tasks and the select the action to create a task in a task list<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12631\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks5.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"972\" height=\"587\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Grant Access:<\/strong> As soon as you would select an action it will prompt you to sign in to your google account.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12632\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks6.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"967\" height=\"520\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter your credentials and allow access to your Google account.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12633\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks7.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"974\" height=\"906\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Specify tasks list:<\/strong> Once the access is granted you can then specify the task list in which the task created in CRM would get added.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12634\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks8.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"972\" height=\"445\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Mapping the attributes:<\/strong> Now we would map the Subject of our task in CRM with the title of task in Google tasks as follows<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12635\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks9.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"975\" height=\"396\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can also add a prefix to identify the tasks generated from the CRM as shown in the above image.<\/p>\n<p>In the similar way you can also map the description of the CRM task with the notes of the Google task<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12636\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks10.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"974\" height=\"433\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you are done with the above steps click on save button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12637\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks11.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"970\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Test the flow:<\/strong> After saving the flow test it by activating it as follows<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12638\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Synchronizing-Dynamics-365-Tasks-with-Google-Tasks12.png\" alt=\"Synchronizing Dynamics 365 Tasks with Google Tasks\" width=\"969\" height=\"352\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After selecting <strong>I\u2019ll perform the trigger action<\/strong>, click on the test button and you are ready to execute the flow.
