Whenever the Field Service solution is installed, the schedule board shows the work orders by default. But what about the other entities? What if I want to schedule the appointments too on the schedule board?<\/p>\n<p>Well the Field service provides us the solution for this. Resource Scheduling comes along with the Field service installation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the entities that needs to be shown on the schedule board, one need to configure the entity first.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let\u2019s see a walkthrough:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong>. Navigate to Resource Scheduling-&gt; Administration.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11842\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/1Appointments-on-Schedule-Board-in-Dynamics-365-Field-Service.png\" alt=\"Appointments on Schedule Board in Dynamics 365 Field Service\" width=\"824\" height=\"179\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2<\/strong>. Select \u201cEnable Resource Scheduling for Entities\u201d. So for example, we will enable scheduling for the entity \u201cAppointment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11843\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/2Appointments-on-Schedule-Board-in-Dynamics-365-Field-Service.png\" alt=\"Appointments on Schedule Board in Dynamics 365 Field Service\" width=\"827\" height=\"253\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After filling the details, click on \u201cPublish Customization\u201d. In the \u201cenabled Entities\u201d section, you would be able to see the \u201cAppointment\u201d entity as shown in below screenshot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11844 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/3Appointments-on-Schedule-Board-in-Dynamics-365-Field-Service.png\" alt=\"Appointments on Schedule Board in Dynamics 365 Field Service\" width=\"819\" height=\"230\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3<\/strong>. Once the entity is enabled for scheduling, then navigate to Settings-&gt; Customizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a04<\/strong>. On the Resource Requirement, create a new view named \u201cAppointment\u201d as seen in the below screenshot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11845\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/4Appointments-on-Schedule-Board-in-Dynamics-365-Field-Service.png\" alt=\"Appointments on Schedule Board in Dynamics 365 Field Service\" width=\"819\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then Save and publish the customizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5<\/strong>. Now navigate to Field Service -&gt; Schedule Board<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11846\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/5Appointments-on-Schedule-Board-in-Dynamics-365-Field-Service.png\" alt=\"Appointments on Schedule Board in Dynamics 365 Field Service\" width=\"524\" height=\"331\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click on \u201cOpen Tab Settings\u201d -&gt; Go to Requirement Panels.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11847\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/6Appointments-on-Schedule-Board-in-Dynamics-365-Field-Service.png\" alt=\"Appointments on Schedule Board in Dynamics 365 Field Service\" width=\"821\" height=\"668\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the view which was created in \u201cResource Requirement\u201d as \u201cAppointment\u201d and provide the Title. Click on \u201c+\u201d and click \u201cApply\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6<\/strong>. Create an Appointment and save the Record. You would be able to see the \u201cBook\u201d ribbon button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11851\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/7.png\" alt=\"7\" width=\"819\" height=\"306\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Note: The \u201cBook\u201d button will be available on \u201cAppointment\u201d entity (in Web client only) if you have \u201cUniversal Resource Scheduling v.2.*\u201d installed in your CRM. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>7<\/strong>. If you click on the Book, then the Schedule Assistant opens up where you can schedule and click on \u201cBook &amp; Exit\u201d. This would create the Resource requirement successfully.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11848\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/8Appointments-on-Schedule-Board-in-Dynamics-365-Field-Service.png\" alt=\"Appointments on Schedule Board in Dynamics 365 Field Service\" width=\"818\" height=\"290\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>8<\/strong>. Once the Resource requirement is created, then you can see it in the associated view of the appointment as seen below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11849\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/9Appointments-on-Schedule-Board-in-Dynamics-365-Field-Service.png\" alt=\"Appointments on Schedule Board in Dynamics 365 Field Service\" width=\"821\" height=\"256\" \/><strong>9<\/strong>. Now you can navigate to the Schedule board.
