In our previous blogs of the \u2018Controls in Dynamics 365 for Mobile App\u2019 series, we discussed Input Mask<\/a> ,\u00a0Multimedia<\/a>,\u00a0Website Preview<\/a>,\u00a0Auto-Complete<\/a>, Option set<\/a> and\u00a0Star Rating<\/a>\u00a0controls. Star Rating control allows users to add star ratings on entity records to rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 in Dynamics 365 Mobile and Tablet app.<\/p>\n

Today we will discuss about the new control i.e. \u2018Contract Calendar\u2019<\/strong> Control which is added Dynamics 365 v9.0.<\/p>\n

What is Contract Calendar Control and how it can help users?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Contract Calendar Control is available only for type of Single Line of Text field <\/strong>on Dynamics 365 Mobile and Tablet app. The Contract Calendar Control may help you to view the time table in order to understand what time the task needs to be performed on weekly basis.<\/p>\n

\n

Note: This control can be used only for type of Single Line of Text field with minimum length of 168 characters.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Let\u2019s consider an example of Doctor who need to do check-up of patients on weekly basis and then monitoring whether patient checking has been performed or not.<\/p>\n

Below are the steps to add new Contract Calendar control for \u2018Weekly Checkup\u2019<\/strong> field on Patient entity.<\/p>\n

1. Navigate to Settings\u00a0\u2192 Customizations and select the entity in which you want to add the Option Set control.<\/p>\n

2. Open the entity form and select the field in which you want to add this control, here we are selecting \u2018Weekly Checkup<\/strong>\u2019 as Single Line Text of field to add \u2018Contract Calendar Control<\/strong>\u2019 as seen in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n

3. Go to the \u2018Field Properties.\u2019 Select the Controls tab and click on \u2018Add Control\u2019 as shown in the below screenshot.<\/p>\n

4. Select the \u2018Contract Calendar\u2019 control to add the control on the field as shown in the below screenshot.<\/p>\n

5. Enable the \u2018Contract Calendar Control \u2019 for Phone and Tablet as seen in the below screenshot.<\/p>\n

6. Click on \u2018Save\u2019 and \u2018Publish\u2019 the entity form changes. Now, login to Dynamics 365 Mobile and Tablet app and open the \u2018Patient<\/strong>\u2019 entity record.<\/p>\n

Here Doctor can schedule his time against the Patient by selecting the day or week.<\/p>\n

7. If \u2018Control Calendar\u2019 control is configured on string field whose length is less than 168 character then it will show the below error :<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We can use Contract calendar Control as Task Scheduler on weekly basis on Mobile and Tablet. This control can be used only for type of Single Line of Text field with minimum length of 168 characters.<\/p>\n
