But in Dynamics 365, Display Name is limited to 50 characters only.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After some research and play around we found\u00a0a solution for this. So in this blog, we will discuss about how to Set Description field as a Display Name in MS Portal to display a message of larger length in the Display Name.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-11048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Set-Description-Field-as-Display-Name-in-Dynamics-365-Portal.png\" alt=\"Set Description Field as Display Name in Dynamics 365 Portal\" width=\"968\" height=\"637\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps to set Description Field as a Display Name in MS Portal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First login to Dynamics 365 and then go to the create field. Type the text into the Description field which needs to be shown as a Display Name, as shown in the below screenshot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-11049\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Set-Description-Field-as-Display-Name-in-Dynamics-365-Portal1.png\" alt=\"Set Description Field as Display Name in Dynamics 365 Portal\" width=\"966\" height=\"617\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, Place the Field on the form and uncheck the <strong>Display label<\/strong> of a field as shown below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11051\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Set-Description-Field-as-Display-Name-in-Dynamics-365-Portal4.png\" alt=\"Set Description Field as Display Name in Dynamics 365 Portal\" width=\"542\" height=\"545\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then, Go to Portal and create web link then add web page on the web link and within the web page add entity form.
