The session timeout for the online version, however, was defaulted to 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microsoft has now provided the flexibility to modify\u00a0the Session timeout for Dynamics CRM Online.<\/p>\n<h2>Configuring Session Timeout for Dynamics CRM Online:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To set the session timeout for Dynamics CRM online, navigate to <strong><em>Settings &gt; Administration &gt; System Settings<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/13.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10786\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/13.png\" alt=\"Setting Session Time Out in Dynamics CRM Online \" width=\"786\" height=\"493\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As you can see in the above screenshot, there are options to <em>set session timeout<\/em> as <em>\u2018Set custom\u2019<\/em> or <em>\u2018Use default\u2019.<\/em> If you choose <em>\u2018Use Default\u2019<\/em> then the maximum length of the session is 1440 minutes (24 hours).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To set a custom time for the session, choose <em>\u2018Set Custom\u2019<\/em> and set the required time. In our case, we have set the session timeout to 60 minutes and the warning time to 20 minutes before the session expires.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As seen in above screenshot, we can even <em>set inactivity timeout<\/em>\u00a0i.e., the user will be automatically logged out after the specified time of inactivity. In this example, we have set it to 5 minutes and warning time to 3 minutes. So, if the user is inactive for 3 minutes, then the below warning message is seen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/23.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10787 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/23.png\" alt=\"Setting Session Time Out in Dynamics CRM Online inactivity warning message\" width=\"461\" height=\"221\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unless the user clicks on <em>Continue Session<\/em>, the user will not be able to continue working.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If the user is still inactive after the above warning message, the below message will be displayed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/32.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10788 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/32.png\" alt=\"Your session has expired due to inactivity.
