{"id":10757,"date":"2017-11-07T14:40:01","date_gmt":"2017-11-07T09:10:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/?p=10757"},"modified":"2023-01-13T14:14:59","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T08:44:59","slug":"fixed-field-service-database-version-is-out-of-sync-error-in-dynamics-365-field-service-v6-2-0-342-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/fixed-field-service-database-version-is-out-of-sync-error-in-dynamics-365-field-service-v6-2-0-342-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Fixed &#8211; Field Service database version is out of Sync error in Dynamics 365 Field Service V6.2.0.342"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Introduction:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If ever we face the error <strong>Database Out of Sync<\/strong>, then the reason behind this is the Database Version field that\u2019s there on the Field Service Settings form was not updated while installing the latest version.<\/p>\n<p>Between Field Service versions, as schema and feature changes, Field Service ships upgrade scripts to ensure seamless upgrade for customers. The way Field Services knows that the scripts were ran successfully during upgrade is by looking at the Field Service Database version.<\/p>\n<p>At times, the upgrade script fails for some reasons and the Database Version is not updated.<\/p>\n<p>And, this results in the <strong>Database Out of Sync<\/strong> error.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Recommended Solutions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to resolve this issue, we need to undertake either of the below two approaches.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Approach 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Navigate to Dynamics 365 Administration Center and check if you still get the option to upgrade the Field Service Solution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>If yes, then go ahead and try reinstalling the latest version.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If for some reasons, this approach doesn\u2019t work for you, then Approach 2 is the way to go.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Approach 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Navigate to Settings \u00e0 Solutions and try to locate <strong>FieldService_anchor<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Uninstall that solution. (<strong><em>Note:<\/em><\/strong> <em>Uninstalling this solution won\u2019t remove any of your Field Service entities.
