This feature allows the users to select the components they want to have in their solution.<\/p>\n<p>In this blog, we will discuss why you are unable to see the <strong><em>\u2018Add Subcomponent\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and the <strong><em>\u2018Remove Component\u2019<\/em><\/strong> buttons in your solution.<\/p>\n<p>This is probably because you have selected the <strong><em>\u2018Include entity metadata\u2019<\/em><\/strong> option while adding the entity to the solution as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10729\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/11.png\" alt=\"Unable to see the \u2018Add Subcomponents\u2019 and \u2018Remove Component\u2019 buttons in your Solution?\" width=\"811\" height=\"545\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Please note that if the <strong><em>\u2018Add All Assets\u2019<\/em><\/strong> option is checked then the <strong><em>\u2018Include entity metadata\u2019<\/em><\/strong> option is checked by default, and just unchecking the <em>\u2018Add All Assets\u2019<\/em> option won\u2019t help.<\/p>\n<p>It is imperative that the <em>\u2018Include entity metadata\u2019<\/em> option is unchecked to add or remove entity subcomponents in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, it is advisable to uncheck these checkboxes while adding an entity in a solution until you are very sure that all the subcomponents being added will be used in future.<\/p>\n<p>In case of uncertainty, you can add all the subcomponents manually without using the <em>\u2018Add All Assets\u2019<\/em> option as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10730\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/21.png\" alt=\"Unable to see the \u2018Add Subcomponents\u2019 and \u2018Remove Component\u2019 buttons in your Solution?\" width=\"763\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In the recent versions just the \u201cInclude Entity Metadata\u201d on its own still allows components to be added\/removed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Having the <strong><em>\u2018Include entity metadata\u2019<\/em><\/strong> option checked while adding the entity to the solution prevents you from adding or removing the subcomponents from the solution.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.inogic.com\/product\/productivity-pack\/click-2-export-microsoft-dynamics-crm-reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Easily-Export-Dynamics-365-Reports-in-PDF-Word-or-Excel.png\" alt=\"Easily Export and Email Dynamics 365 Reports in PDF, Word, or Excel\" width=\"800\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction: \u2018Add Subcomponents\u2019 and \u2018Remove Component\u2019 buttons are one of the important features introduced in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016.
