Dynamics 365\/CRM and QuickBooks deal with some accounting concepts like Discounts and Write-In differently. Hence setting up the configuring the mapping of products is required for error-free sync between Dynamics 365\/CRM and QuickBooks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Follow the steps mentioned below to perform Mapping in InoLink:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1.<\/strong> In Dynamics 365\/CRM you can either add Existing Products as line items or enter in a write-in product in Quote and Invoice. QuickBooks, however, does not allow entering a line item without specifying the product.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2.<\/strong> Also, you can specify discounts for line-items by specifying the discount amount in the Discount and Volume Discount fields on the line item form in Dynamics 365\/CRM. QuickBooks, on the other hand, requires products to be created of the type \u201cDiscount\u201d and add it as a separate line item in the transaction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3.<\/strong> Therefore, before setting up the mapping in InoLink, you need to create \u2018Service\u2019 type products in QuickBooks to act as placeholder products for &#8216;Write-In\u2019 and \u2018Discount\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Steps to create Service type \u2018Write-In\u2019 and \u2018Line Discount\u2019 product in QuickBooks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>A.<\/strong> Navigate to \u2018Products and Services\u2019 in QuickBooks and click on \u2018New\u2019 as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5180\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/31.png\" alt=\"31\" width=\"999\" height=\"220\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>B.<\/strong> Select \u2018Service\u2019 as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5181\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/32.png\" alt=\"32\" width=\"1003\" height=\"449\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>C.<\/strong> Now, enter \u2018Write-In\u2019 in the name section and click on \u2018Save and close\u2019 to create a service type of product as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5182\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/33.png\" alt=\"33\" width=\"1149\" height=\"564\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\"><strong>D.<\/strong> Similarly, you have to create \u2018Line Discount\u2019 service type of product.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>4.<\/strong> Now open \u2018InoLink Settings\u2019 application and navigate to <strong>File &gt; Mappings <\/strong>as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5183 aligncenter\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/34.png\" alt=\"34\" width=\"1156\" height=\"287\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>5.<\/strong> Select the \u2018Write-In\u2019 and \u2018Line Discount\u2019 product from the drop down menu for the respective fields and click on \u2018Save\u2019 as shown in the screenshot below;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5604\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/157.png\" alt=\"157\" width=\"1119\" height=\"530\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>Note: \u2018Write-In\u2019 and \u2018Line Discount\u2019 products will be visible in InoLink only after they are created in QuickBooks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>6.<\/strong> You have now successfully mapped the products in Dynamics 365\/CRM and QuickBooks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\">Note: To know more about how the fields between Dynamics CRM and QuickBooks, read &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/inolink-infocentre\/field-mappings-between-dynamics-365-and-quickbooks-account-contact-product\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Field mapping for Account, Contact &amp; Product<\/a>&#8216; and &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/inolink-infocentre\/field-mappings-between-dynamics-365-and-quickbooks-quote-and-invoice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Field mapping for Quote &amp; Invoice<\/a>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After successfully mapping the products, you are now ready to configure integration preferences for the sync using InoLink.
