Our seasoned team of Solution experts have been amongst the earliest adopters of Microsoft technologies. We have developed quite a number of solutions that augment the functionality of Dynamics 365 CRM. One such solution from our suite of productivity tools is Attach2Dynamics.<\/p>\n

Attach2Dynamics\u2019 every functionality is unique and not supported by Dynamics 365 CRM inherently. This makes it a potent tool thereby enabling you to implement significant actions like Drag & Drop, Upload\/Download<\/a> files\/folders and others to SharePoint, Dropbox and Azure Blob Storage from within Dynamics 365 CRM.<\/p>\n

Users can perform actions against an Entity record for which the Connector is configured<\/a>, and Entity Configuration<\/a> is done. Doing so enables the Attach2Dynamics button for the respective entity.<\/p>\n

However, it is also possible to add Attach2Dynamics tab embedded in the form without having to open it from the Ribbon Button<\/strong>. Below the steps for the same are mentioned:<\/p>\n

Go to Settings -> Customizations -> Customize the System<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Default solution window will open. Here are the steps how to create an embedded tab in the Form of a particular Entity.<\/p>\n

1<\/strong>. On the left pane go to Components -> Entities<\/strong><\/p>\n

2<\/strong>. Expand the Entity<\/strong> Drop Down and Select Forms<\/strong> for the Entity you want to create an embedded tab for.<\/p>\n

3<\/strong>.\u00a0Under the Active Forms<\/strong> Select any Name<\/strong> for which Form Type<\/strong> is Main<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4<\/strong>.\u00a0The Forms<\/strong> Window will open. Go to Insert<\/strong> tab and insert One Column Tab<\/strong> and drag it anywhere on the form.<\/p>\n

5<\/strong>.\u00a0Go to Home<\/strong> and click on Change Properties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6<\/strong>. A tab Properties Window<\/strong> will be landed. In Name<\/strong> and Label<\/strong> enter the name you want to be displayed in the tab on the form. Click on OK.<\/p>\n

7<\/strong>. Go to Insert<\/strong> tab and click on Web Resource<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

8<\/strong>.\u00a0In Web resource<\/strong> field enter ikl_\/Attach2Dynamics\/Library\/index.html<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Name<\/strong> and Label<\/strong> enter the name you want to be displayed.<\/p>\n

Scroll down and check the Pass record object-type code and unique identifier as parameters<\/strong> box. Click on OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Note: <\/em><\/strong>Check the Enable for mobile <\/strong>box to make it visible in UCI.<\/em><\/p>\n

9<\/strong>. Go to Home<\/strong> and Save<\/strong> then Publish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

10<\/strong>. Now navigate to Entity<\/strong> (for which you have configured the Form) and open a record. Scroll down, and you can see your desired tab embedded in the page.<\/p>\n
