One of the key extensions required by customers once Dynamics CRM/365 has been implemented is to integrate it with a portal to further automate the processes and provide easy and quick access of information to their customers. The Portal displays real-time and detailed information on the website from Dynamics CRM/365. Each business has a very unique business process and through a portal they need to automate processes that are very specific to their organization. With this in mind, Inogic Self Service Portal was designed using an easy to integrate and extend framework that would provide the following functionality

Since then we have been able to extend the framework to provide a custom built Contractor/Partner Portal, Order Verification website that is accessible through mobile and tablets. We have been able to successfully provide the following functionality through our custom designed portals.

 

  • Multi-language portal
  • Calendar View and appointment management
  • News feed driven from CRM custom entities
  • Ability to sign an order using Stylus or Pen on a tablet device and store that in Dynamics CRM

 

The technology used for portal development currently is MVC, jQuery and HTML 5.
